It’s fine to have questions. Let’s answer some here.
Why do we need God?
You have sinned. We have all sinned. We have all broken God’s law. And the Bible says that we are under the wrath of God. Not because God is the problem, but because we are. We have sinned.
But in the midst of that God gave His only Son Jesus Christ. Who came down here, died on the cross to save us. Not first and foremost to save us from hell. But to save us from our sins. Sin is the problem and sin is leading us to hell.
How did He save us from our sins? Through the cross. And through the new birth. A birth where in repentance to God we get a new heart. In the baptism to Jesus Christ we wash away our sins. And through the baptism with the Holy Spirit we receive the power to live the new life God has called us to.
After God created all there is, He said all was good. And it was! But then entered sin.
Sin is like the law of gravity. Try to pick up your phone and really believe it will float in the air. Now let go. Your phone still drops down.
The same is with sin. We all sin, no matter how hard we try to stop doing it, we can’t. – We’re slaves to sin.
What does the bible say about how we are supposed to live?
We believe that through the Holy Spirit, as the disciples of Jesus, we are empowered to preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead and use all the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the glory and the Kingdom of God, like our Lord Jesus Christ did.
Matt. 10:7-8
7 And proclaim as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.
We believe that the church, which Jesus Christ Himself is building, is not a denomination or a building but all the true disciples of Jesus Christ in the whole world, who are led by the Holy Spirit and have fellowship together wherever they stay.
Matthew 16:18
18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Acts 1:13-14
13 And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. 14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
We believe that we are all called to be disciples of Jesus Christ, who follow Him and become more and more like Him. Jesus never used the word christian but called His followers disciples. It is about learning from our Lord Jesus like an apprentice and to do the same thing and even greater things than He did (John 15:8, John 14:12).
John 15:8
8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
John 14:12
12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
We believe that out of the disciples, Jesus Christ sets apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11–12
11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ will come back and will take His bride, the church, and for all eternity we will be together with Him in His Kingdom.
How do I become a Christian?
It is important you understand the legal implications of what happened on the cross.
Remember God being holy and just. Our sin needs to be punished.
Jesus took that punishment for us. Jesus’ death means you and me now have a solution for our sin.
Through Jesus, God set us free from sin.
Through Jesus we can get right with God.
Through Jesus we can live holy lives here without being enslaved to sin.
Through Jesus we can receive the gift of everlasting life.
Acts 2:38
Peter replied, Repent and be baptized, Every one of You, in The Name of Jesus Christ for The Forgiveness of Your sins. and You Will Receive The Gift of The Holy Spirit.
We see this again and again in the book of Acts. Whenever someone wants to make a commitment to following Jesus, they repent of their sin, they get baptised in water and then they are filled with the holy spirit and start speaking in tongues.

If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation.
In Matthew chapter 28 we witness Jesus’ ascension to Heaven. A few moments before He went to sit at the right hand of His Father, He said this to His disciples:
Matthew 28 v18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
This Great Commission is for us too. Together with fellow believers we form the body of Christ here on earth. And it is His desire to use us while He builds up His church and His Kingdom.
Ask any questions you have or send a message with what area you live in and we can arrange to meet up in a coffee shop and or get you in touch with a local brother or sister who can help you grow in faith and live the life we read about in the Book of Acts.

If you’re thinking it, then maybe other people are too – and if it’s a non-personal generic question, then maybe I can put it on this page for others to see too.
No question is “too silly” or “too easy”. Just ask it!
